Description
“The Burst Fire Fiasco on Asteroid Zeta”
Asteroid Zeta, a barren hunk of rock orbiting the Binary Stars, was the last place anyone expected a firefight. Yet here it was: two rival factions squaring off with nothing but ego and a dazzling array of burst fire space guns.
The first volley erupted from the Ridge Runners, a scrappy group known for their flair over function. Their Triple-Burst Rifles lit up the air, sending rapid streaks of energy bolts across the rocky battlefield. The shots hammered against the opposing team’s cover, leaving scorched marks everywhere except their actual targets. “Keep firing!” their leader yelled. “They’ll run out of luck eventually!” But precision was not their strong suit.
On the other side, the Stone Vipers retaliated with Vortex Blasters, sleek weapons firing three plasma bursts in a perfect triangular formation. Each pull of the trigger unleashed a symphony of chaos, and their aim wasn’t much better. One burst ricocheted off a boulder and hit their own barricade, forcing their sniper to dive for safety. “We meant to do that!” someone shouted. They hadn’t.
The fight devolved into a comical display of missed shots and close calls. One Ridge Runner’s rifle overheated mid-burst, sending sparks flying and causing a panicked retreat. A Viper’s blaster jammed, unleashing bursts in random directions, including toward his own team. Between the relentless noise and flashing lights, it was impossible to tell who had the upper hand—or if anyone even knew what they were doing anymore.
By the end, the battle fizzled out as both sides ran out of ammo. Breathing heavily, they stared across the rocky wasteland, then nodded silently in mutual understanding: some wars aren’t about victory—they’re about the spectacle.
