At GM3Z, an office worker endures spinning floors, nonsensical leadership, and constant chaos inside a giant Rubik’s Cube-shaped building. Somehow, they survive—thanks to coffee and sheer determination.

Description

“Trapped in the Cubicle of Cubes”

At GM3Z, chaos rules. The office, shaped like a massive Rubik’s Cube, spins unpredictably for “branding purposes.” Every rotation scrambles schedules, misplaces meetings, and leaves employees cursing the architects.

I handle the glamorous title of “Cube Optimization Specialist,” which translates to answering endless emails about “broken” Rubik’s Cubes that won’t solve themselves. My cubicle, painted red to match one of the cube’s faces, feels like a joke. The constant creak of the building’s rotation keeps me on edge, as if the walls themselves mock my sanity.

Navigating this building tests patience and wit. Elevators only connect to the right floor when the cube aligns perfectly. Yesterday, I aimed for the Green Floor (Marketing) but landed on the Orange Floor (IT). By the time I climbed back to my desk, my coffee had gone cold, and my patience had snapped.

Mr. Blockley, the boss, stalks the halls wearing his ridiculous Rubik’s Cube tie and tossing out catchphrases like, “Think around the box!” and “Synergize the colors!” His enthusiasm knows no bounds, but his ideas rarely make sense. During one meeting, the building spun mid-presentation, scattering charts and forcing everyone to duck flying markers. Blockley called it “team bonding.”

The chaos never ends. Floors shift, breakroom snacks disappear, and departments constantly collide—sometimes literally. Last week, IT ended up drenched when the Finance floor’s water cooler tipped over. Ted from HR hasn’t returned since he went to “fix something” on the Blue Floor.

Every day, I consider quitting. But then I realize that outside this swirling nightmare, life poses its own confusing puzzles. For now, I stick with the free coffee and pray the next spin doesn’t send me to the Yellow Floor again.
